The initiative for this conference has been set by German mathematicians R. Baer, H. Heineken, O.H. Kegel, P. Plaumann and K. Strambach. Since 1972 it takes place every semester in various cities of Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic, Georgia, and Turkey. The topic of interest is group theory in a wide sense, including abstract algebra, discrete mathematics, module theory and the theories of Lie, algebraic and topological groups. The 2019 winter edition will take place in Cetara from Friday, October 25th to Saturday, October 26th, 2019. The meeting will be held at Sala Polifunzionale "Mario Benincasa", Cetara (SA).
